You meet various kinds of people and each of them has different role in your life. You meet your family members, friends, acquintances, enemies, people who help you to recover from hard times, people who poison your peace of mind.
All these people are equally important for your growth. They come without your invitation, however, you decide who will remain in your life and who will leave. Learn from the enemies and the poisonous people and let them go. Welcome friends and keep them in your life.

So true, we may decide that we may not want to spend time with them in the physical world. but they will always be with us in the spiritual world of ours. :)
