Care for Others
If we develop concern for other people's welfare, share other people's suffering, and help them, ultimately we will benefit. If we think only of ourselves and forget about others, ultimately we will lose. The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater our own sense of well-being becomes.

How can we share other people's suffering ,... we can stand by them to help all the time but can we share his/her amount of suffering?
ReplyDeleteI think when they say share in their suffering, they must have ment also to be besides them, listen to them in the moment of grief or suffering. Just been physically present or if now with words of comfort so much of the others suffering seem to reduce.
ReplyDeleteI guess when a close person of yours is in a difficult situation, it affects you as well as that person, maybe in a different way, less or even more.
ReplyDeleteFor example a close person has car accident and is in the hospital in come. That person doesn't know anything what is going on but his relatives are all in worry.
That is one good example. Share in the grief of the other people. At that time you are having a common FEELING of loss and grief :)
ReplyDeleteWell , if somebody close met an accident and all relatives are worried then that is their(relatives') own suffering, they are not sharing suffering or pain of anybody. Its true that we get affected when our dear ones face problem .. but then that is our own suffering, we r facing pain which is different from the sufferes pain...... But I guess Vinny is right here that by sharing they mean to be beside the person. I think that makes sense.
