Life is like a cup of Coffee
Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of COFFEE and an assortment of cups porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some loooking plain, some expensive, some exquisite.
He told his guests to help themselves to the coffee.
After everyone had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said :
" If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups have been taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones.
While its normal for you to want on the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.
Be assured that the cup adds no quality to the coffee.
In most cases it is just more expensive, and in some cases even hides what we drink.
What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup.
But you consciously went for the best cups...
And then you began eyeing each other's cups to see who had the best one.
Now consider this, Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups.
They are just tools to hold and contain LIFE and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of life we live.
Sometimes by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee.
Savor the coffee, not the cup!
The happiest people don't have the best of everything.
They just make the best of everything.
Live simply.
Speak kindly.
Care deeply.
Love generously.

Amit - Six Points to Think About
I am not mind, nor intellect, nor ego, nor the reflections of inner self. I am not the five senses. I am beyond that. I am not the ether, nor the earth, nor the fire, nor the wind (i.e. the five elements). I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
2)
Neither can I be termed as energy (Praana), nor five types of breath (Vaayu), nor the seven material essences (dhaatu), nor the five coverings (panca-kosha). Neither am I the five instruments of elimination, procreation, motion, grasping, or speaking. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
3)
I have no hatred or dislike, nor affiliation or liking, nor greed, nor delusion, nor pride or haughtiness, nor feelings of envy or jealousy. I have no duty (dharma), nor any money, nor any desire (kama), nor even liberation (refer: moksha). I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
4)
I have neither virtue (punya), nor vice (paapa). I do not commit sins or good deeds, nor have happiness or sorrow, pain or pleasure. I do not need mantras, holy places, scriptures, rituals or sacrifices (yajna). I am none of the triad of the observer or one who experiences, the process of observing or experiencing, or any object being observed or experienced. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
5)
I do not have fear of death, as I do not have death. I have no separation from my true self, no doubt about my existence, nor have I discrimination on the basis of birth. I have no father or mother, nor did I have a birth. I am not the relative, nor the friend, nor the guru, nor the disciple. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
6)
I am all pervasive. I am without any attributes, and without any form. I have neither attachment to the world, nor to liberation. I have no wishes for anything because I am everything, everywhere, every time, always in equilibrium. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.
Robin S. Sharma - 64 WAYS TO MAKE 2010 YOUR BEST YEAR YET
2. Get fit like a pro athlete.
3. Lift people up versus tearing people down.
4. Protect your good name. An impeccable reputation takes a lifetime to build. And 60 seconds to lose.
5. Surround yourself with positive, ethical people who are committed to excellence.
6. Remember that even a 1% daily innovation rate amounts to at least a 100% rate of innovation in 100 days.
7. Believe in your dreams (even when others laugh at them).
8. Measure your success, not by your net worth but by your self worth (and how happy you feel).
9. Take an intelligent risk every 24 hours. No try-No Win.
10. Read "Buffett: The Making of an American Capitalist".

36. Underpromise and then overdeliver.
37. See part of your job as "a developer of people" (whether you work in the boardroom or the mailroom).

58. Be of deep value to this world.
59. Own beautiful things but don't let them own you.

64. Feel free to pass these lessons on to those you want to help.

4. You want him to meet your parents. You feel proud of him and you want to show him off.
5. You can imagine a future together.

12. You need him the right amount.
13. You don't feel too jealous. You let each other have your own lives and hobbies.
14. You feel like she makes you a better person.
15. She just gets you. You feel like she understands some essential part of you that you can't explain or articulate.

What Men Say ... What Men Mean
This time the fun is aimed at men and their way of seeing things in their minds. This is the list I got from this link: http://www.ajokes.com/jokes/2403.html.
"I'm going fishing."
Really means... "I'm going to drink myself dangerously stupid, and stand by a stream with a stick in my hand, while the fish swim by in complete safety."
"Let's take your car."
Really means.... "Mine is full of beer cans, burger wrappers and completely out of gas."
"Woman driver."
Really means.... "Someone who doesn't speed, tailgate, swear, make obscene gestures and has a better driving record than me."
"I don't care what color you paint the kitchen."
Really means.... "As long as it's not blue, green, pink, red, yellow, lavender, gray, mauve, black, turquoise or any other color besides white."
"It's a guy thing."
Really means.... "There is no rational thought pattern connected with it, and you have no chance at all of making it logical."
"Can I help with dinner?"
Really means.... "Why isn't it already on the table?"
"Uh huh," "Sure, honey," or "Yes, dear."
Really mean.... Absolutely nothing. It's a conditioned response like Pavlov's dog drooling.
"Good idea."
Really means.... "It'll never work. And I'll spend the rest of the day gloating."
"Have you lost weight?"
Really means.... "I've just spent our last $30 on a cordless drill."
"My wife doesn't understand me."
Really means.... "She's heard all my stories before, and is tired of them."

Really means.... "I have no idea how it works."
"I'm getting more exercise lately."
Really means.... "The batteries in the remote are dead."
"I got a lot done."
Really means.... "I found 'Waldo' in almost every picture."

Really means.... "I was wondering if that red-head over there is wearing a bra."
"Take a break, honey, you're working too hard."
Really means.... "I can't hear the game over the vacuum cleaner."
"That's interesting, dear."
Really means.... "Are you still talking?"
"Honey, we don't need material things to prove our love."
Really means.... "I forgot our anniversary again."
"You expect too much of me."
Really means.... "You want me to stay awake."
"It's a really good movie."
Really means.... "It's got guns, knives, fast cars, and Heather Locklear."
"That's women's work."
Really means.... "It's difficult, dirty, and thankless."
"Will you marry me?"
Really means.... "Both my roommates have moved out, I can't find the washer, and there is no more peanut butter."
"You know how bad my memory is."
Really means.... "I remember the theme song to 'F Troop', the address of the first girl I ever kissed and the Vehicle Identification Numbers of every car I've ever owned, but I forgot your birthday."
"I was just thinking about you, and got you these roses."
Really means.... "The girl selling them on the corner was a real babe."
"Football is a man's game."
Really means.... "Women are generally too smart to play it."
"Oh, don't fuss. I just cut myself, it's no big deal."
Really means.... "I have actually severed a limb, but will bleed to death before I admit I'm hurt."
"I do help around the house."
Really means.... "I once put a dirty towel in the laundry basket."
"Hey, I've got my reasons for what I'm doing."
Really means.... "And I sure hope I think of some pretty soon."

"But I hate to go shopping."
Really means.... "Because I always wind up outside the dressing room holding your purse."
"I'm going to stop off for a quick one with the guys."
Really means.... "I am planning on drinking myself into a vegetative stupor with my chest pounding, mouth breathing, pre-evolutionary companions."
"I heard you."
Really means.... "I haven't the foggiest clue what you just said, and am hoping desperately that I can fake it well enough so that you don't spend the next 3 days yelling at me."
"You know I could never love anyone else."
Really means.... "I am used to the way you yell at me, and realize it could be worse."
"You look terrific."
Really means.... "Oh, God, please don't try on one more outfit. I'm starving."
"I brought you a present."
Really means.... "It was free ice scraper night at the ball game."

"It sure snowed last night."
Really means.... "I suppose you're going to nag me about shoveling the walk now."
"It's good beer."

Really means...."I am perfectly capable of screwing it up without printed help."
"I'll fix the garbage disposal later."
Really means...."If I wait long enough you'll get frustrated and buy a new one."
"I'll take you to a fancy restaurant."
Really means...."Someplace that doesn't have a drive-thru window."
"I broke up with her."
Really means.... "She dumped me."

Charles Schultz Philosophy
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.
How did you do?
The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are not second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
Easier?
The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care.
Pass this on to those people who have made a difference in your life.
"Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." (Charles Schultz)
